With the continuous improvement of the living standard of Chinese residents, the purchasing power of housing has been increasing.  People are buying and decorating houses and pursuing high-grade decorative materials has also become a new fashion.  Among many materials, the use of stone is more common.  While people are pursuing a high quality of life, they also have high requirements for the quality and health of their living environment.  All the choice of decorative stones is relatively strict.  When it comes to this, we should think of using artificial stone, because the composition of artificial stone is composed of mineral properties ( calcium carbonate or aluminum hydroxide ) plus resin ( or acrylic ) and then blending, but the surface hardness is slightly lower.  The only man-made stone that can meet the hardness requirements are man-made gangshi and quartzite.

We mainly look at man-made stone, which is also called synthetic stone, reconstructed stone and engineering stone.  It is a synthetic stone made of natural stone particles and stone powder as the main raw materials, or mosaic, shell, glass and other materials as the ornament, organic resin as the cementing agent, and through vacuum stirring, high-pressure shaking molding and high-temperature curing as in the production process of quartz stone. Quartz stone manufacturers are capable of producing gangshi.

 What is the difference between them?

 1. The selection of raw materials, quartz stone is filled with Shi Ying, and the content of Shi Ying in the board is over 93 %, while the filling of gangshi is natural crushed stone and stone processing waste, and gangshi belongs to recycled stone.

 2, environmental protection, quartz stone raw materials are purified to remove impurities, effectively ensuring that there are no toxic substances and radiation sources in the material, while gangshi raw materials do not have any requirements.

 3. Hardness: The Mohs hardness of quartzite can reach a maximum of 7 grades, while the hardness of gangshi is only 4 or 5 grades.

 4. Scope of application: Quartz stone is more widely used in cabinet countertops and other interior decorations such as floors and walls.  However, gangshi is used more and more in architectural decoration, exterior wall decoration.
